Cavilon Barrier Cream is an effective primary barrier to bodily fluids for better continence care and provides a protective barrier against medical adhesive devices. As it is not petroleum based, it will not clog or diminish the absorbency of incontinence pad linings, even allowing tapes to adhere comfortably.
When used as part of a sacral skin care procedure, Cavilon has been shown to reduce the occurrence of broken skin and incontinence dermatitis.
